I love Vtech LS5105 5.8 GHZ Digital Accessory Handset. I have the LS5145 handset, that the LS5015 works with and it is the best cordless phone I have ever owned. The Blue Tooth techknowledge is what make the LS5145 stand way ahead of other phones on the market. I highly recomend the LS5145, along with the accessory hand set LS5105.
This unwarranted issue would again, randomly and embarrassingly sabotage my phone calls, forcing me to use my cell phone for future calls.Most recently, the backlight on the display on one of the handsets would remain lit, even after the display itself turned off. Although this phone appears to be the best phone on the market solely based on its appearance (and the price for that matter), you will be hugely disappointed after your purchase. I work from home and conduct or attend several conference calls a day and wanted a high quality phone where I could use my Bluetooth headset and cell phone to make and receive calls via this phone's hardware/application.Right out of the box, the Bluetooth feature does not work as advertized. We are talking about the equivalent to randomly pressing the mute button. Please do not waste your hard-earned money on this total piece of junk. I could not get my headset or phone to stay connected, which would result in multiple dropped calls on a daily basis.
This issue randomly fixed itself, somehow, only to return a couple of months later.This is the last Vtech phone I will ever own. I have had this phone, along with the base phone w/ answering machine for over a year. This, of course, would drain the battery 10 fold (as it would on a cell phone) only allowing for a 15 to 30 minute conversation before it had to be placed on the charger. With that aside, I still kept the phone and used the built in speaker phone, utilizing my landline to conduct calls. All was well, until it was brought to my attention that the phone was randomly and unexpectedly muting my dialog in mid-sentence, which had nothing to do with signal strength or the call cutting out due to interference. I am switching back to Panasonic.
I regretfully spent $300 + on my setup for which I can say was the worst purchase I have ever made.
Along with the answering machine unit, both handsets repeatedly dropped calls stating 'unable to find base' whilst I was no more than three feet from the base. Both also have poor sound quality. We have had both units for at least two years and I am going to place them in the trash this week. Panasonic seem to get good reviews but why are they SO ugly.
This one will receive my cell phone calls as well, so I am covered when I am home. I bought this phone with four additional handsets. I highly recommend it. It is easy to set up, looks great and works superbly. I replaced a Siemens phone which was not easy to set up or figure out. The fact that I don't have to have outlets for each handset is great. I am in a new home with awkwardly placed outlets and this phone solves those problems.
The features are great, but the overall quality of the phone is poor. It is hard to understand when using the speakerphone and just does not feel like it is built for a lot of use. I would not recommend this phone to anyone who uses their phone a lot.
